In the Merchant Advantage program you will develop and propose a seasonal merchandise plan for your company. In a follow-up process this preliminary plan is then presented to your entire company for feedback and involvement. A tentative Seasonal Merchandise Action Plan (SMAP) is then developed for implementation.
The Merchant Advantage program is presented in either a small group setting with five to seven companies with up to six attendees permitted from each company, or in-house which is especially suited to larger and multiple location companies where greater involvement is needed.
Merchant Advantage is ideally scheduled in the summer while spring results are fresh in the minds of attendees through the fall, offering plenty of time for analysis, planning, and implementation for the upcoming year. However, if you didn’t do it then there is no time like the present as the greatest yield from applying what you learn is in the peak season of your business when you can have the greatest impact on your profitability.
